Something I Love

Sometimes I see a picture that just makes me feel warm and this was one of them. I find nothing quite as beautiful or reassuring as naked intimacy whether it be of a sexual nature or not.
When times are tough or I’m emotionally exhausted this just makes me feel so relaxed. I can’t explain it but I know that it seems to make everything ok.
It’s amazing how we find things that can almost instantly make us feel better and not in an artificial way like drugs and alcohol. For some it’s heading to the country, for others it’s working out at the gym and for me it’s intimate times.
Think about what it is for you and do more of it. If you have to schedule it into your calendar. Whatever it takes you need to do it.

Why Lie?

The question is Why do people Lie? I just don’t get it. I mean, I understand why someone may say “You look great today” and “No, you don’t look fat”, I’m not talking about these types of lies. I’m talking about the kind of lies that really can hurt people. I was reading some snippets on a site today. One was a guy who was telling his girlfriend how much he loved her but telling his friends she was ugly and was with her until something better comes along. Another was about a guy who was cheating on his wife.
I don’t get these lies. For a start if you are going to cheat then why be there to begin with. If you are going to lie about your accomplishments at work then why bother, there’s no honour in achieving something on false pretenses. On top of all this it takes so much work to keep a lie together over time. I actually read somewhere, whether it’s true or not, that the more you lie the more you age because of the subconscious termoil or something. I guess it’s the same priciple as if you stress too much you will get sick. The pressure the mind puts on the body can do anything.
So I just don’t get it. I know someone who lies all the time or exaggerates everything and it is tiresome. I would like him more if he was just himself. I don’t want someone to lie to me. If they don’t like me I’m ok with that. I can’t expect everyone to like me. If I screw up I don’t want someone to bitch and moan behind my back, tell me so I can deal with it.
I just guess I find it strange as to why people lie. I have started a forum thread if you would like to try and help me understand.

WTF?

Today I got a message through my contact me page that was bizarre to say the least.

Message: I will not comment again.If you cannot make the comment feature work, your done.
Have a happy time with ???????? the Fraud.
Now I am very confused at this. As per usual with people that make negative comments, they like to do it anonymously. That is sad because if you are going to send a private message to me at least have the guts to identify yourself.
The ?????? are not by accident but identify another reader. I am wondering if this person has a beef with the other blogger. That’s fine, I don’t know if there is a problem with that blogger because we don’t communicate with the exception of the odd comment here and there.
The next thing I find strange is that the author is complaining about my comment system. Now first of all I admit I have a fairly new comment system/plugin but no one has ever told me there is a problem.
All I can tell you about whoever sent this note is there ISP is in Oakland, USA. I can’t see any obvious pattern to suggest they have ever been a regular. That doesn’t mean much though if they have a dynamic IP Address.
Anyway, whoever you are, I wish you all the best.
UPDATE1. I think I may know who this is and it’s a terrible shame if I’m correct because their blog has been a great help to me in the past. I never would have thought I would hear such negativity from them. I guess I’ll never know.

Gay Marriage
Posted by: | CommentsI was reading Michael’s Blog today and he was commenting on the recent Vermont Senate debate and vote on Gay Marriage. He also posted the clip below that I hadn’t seen. It’s incredible to hear a 17 year old such as James Neiley speaking in front of the senate in relation to this. I will let you visit Michael’s Blog and also let the clip speak for itself. The one thing that surprised me was that watching this clip brought tears to my eye’s. Now I know I am emotional but I couldn’t work out what it was when I heard this clip. However after some thought I realised that when an articulate young person speaks from the heart about something like this he is also speaking without all the legal crap and big words that an adult would use. James just uses his own voice to cut to the chase and tell it how he is.
