Green & Blacks
Before being sent this chocolate, I had never had Green & Blacks Organic Chocolate. Now, I have to as usual let you know of my conditions when being sent product to test. I am always happy to test or trial products. However the rule is that I will always write about product that has been sent to me and give my honest opinion. There is no way I will let my opinions be shadowed simply because someone sent me some free product. In saying that below I will talk about this product range.
I was sent a number of blocks of this chocolate in three flavours, White, Dark and Darker Milk. Although I tested all flavours I also enlisted the help of some friends as I’m not a huge fan of dark chocolate and wanted an honest review. Let’s look at the results and opinions:
Overview
Firstly I am not going to sit here and ramble on about product. I am here to give my opinion and I’m going to do that quickly and honestly. I’m not going to carry on with making this sound like a professional review because that’s not me. Here is my overview. This brand of chocolate is exceptional. I am a chocolate lover. I particularly like Lindt chocolate but can only eat it in small portions because of the sweetness of it. Green & Black’s chocolate in my opinion is even better than Lindt and it never gives you a sickly after taste and is in no way too sweet or bitter. Chocolate is usually open to very personal taste preferences, but I suspect that this range of chocolate would appeal to anyone. I can’t understand why I had never tried it before considering it is in the supermarket. But if nothing else I suggest everyone tries this at least once because I am a convert.
Darker Milk
This chocolate was amazing. After trying the Darker Milk chocolate I couldn’t get enough. It was to the point where I finished off all that was sent to me and went and bought more. The first thing that struck me was there was no aftertaste that many chocolates can bring with it. It was smooth and not too sweet, a theme that I noticed with the entire range.
White
Again I a not a big consumer of White chocolate, mainly because I generally find it too sweet, however I literally ate a whole block of the Green & Blacks White Chocolate without feeling sickly or that it was too sweet. If anything this white chocolate has to be the nicest white chocolate I have ever had.
Dark
This chocolate had we worried, not only because it was dark chocolate but because it does have a hint of orange which a lot of dark chocolate contains. So I enlisted some help. Firstly I tried it and actually was surprised because I quite enjoyed it. The orange flavour was very light and the dark chocolate was not bitter as many dark chocolate brands are. However it didn’t convert me to dark chocolate. Some friends who are dark chocolate fans tried it. Now the honest opinion was it was very similar in taste to Club however with one very big difference. The difference that everyone testing this stated is that it didn’t have an ounce of bitterness and the after taste was beautiful.
